Abstract

The study aimed to expand knowledge of the importance of transience and the meaning of death in the light of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis. Methodologically, a bibliographical review of Viktor Frankl's work was undertaken, considering 4 stages: Planning of keywords – transience of life, finitude, death and meaning of life; bibliographical consultation, reading and transcription and writing. It wasconcluded that, if on the one hand talking about death is frightening, on the other hand, awakening awareness of finitude is of great value to life. Existential Analysis seeks to make the consultant aware of the person responsible for a life that is only lived once.
